Eton at Garmany
Founded 1928 · Ganghester, Sweden
45 Parts. 12,000 Stitches. One Perfect Shirt.
In 1928, cousins Annie Pettersson and Febe Lidar began sewing dresses in a small workshop in Ganghester, a village just outside Borås — Sweden’s historical textile region. When the Great Depression forced Annie’s husband David to close the family sawmill, he joined the business. The company pivoted to men’s shirts, renamed itself Skjortfabriken Special (Specialized Shirt Factory), and in the early 1950s launched the shirt that would define the brand: the “Eton shirt,” named with a nod to England’s prestigious Eton College.
Nearly a century later, the brand’s obsession remains singular: the men’s dress shirt, perfected. Each Eton shirt is constructed from 45 separate parts and sewn with 12,000 individual stitches — a level of construction detail that is genuinely rare in the category. The collar engineering alone is a discipline unto itself: cutaway, spread, button-down, and tab collar options, each designed to suit different face shapes and style contexts. Four distinct collections span professional formal to casual weekends, making Eton a complete dress shirt wardrobe from one brand. Today, Eton shirts are sold in 1,500+ stores across 50+ countries, with flagships in Stockholm, Frankfurt, London, and New York.
The Collection
Every Shirt for Every Occasion
Business Shirts
The core of Eton. Signature Twill, textured weaves, and premium cotton in white, blue, and beyond. Clean collars, precise cuffs, and the kind of construction that holds its shape through a 12-hour day and still looks pressed at dinner.
Formal & Evening
Tuxedo shirts, wing collars, and French-cuff styles for black-tie and evening occasions. The same 45-part construction applied to the moments that matter most — because a formal shirt shouldn’t be an afterthought.
Casual & Weekend
Linen, jersey, and relaxed cotton shirts for days off. The same Eton quality and collar engineering applied to casual dressing — because even a weekend shirt should be constructed with care.
Accessories
Ties, pocket squares, and cufflinks designed to complement the shirt collection. Coordinated accessories from a brand that understands how every element of a dressed look works together.
"Each Eton shirt is made from 45 different parts and sewn with 12,000 stitches. The collar range is designed to suit any style and face shape."
