The Elegance of Simplicity
In 2006, Moreno Faccincani founded MooRER in Castelnuovo del Garda, just outside Verona — an anagram of his first name with the letter “r” substituted for “n.” Faccincani had already spent a decade in Italian outerwear, having established the women’s line Feyem in 1995 after a robbery devastated his parents’ company. But MooRER was something different: a men’s luxury outerwear brand built on a single principle — “I believe in the elegance of simplicity, in leaving out the superfluous, and I am only satisfied with excellence.”
That principle runs through every garment. Every MooRER piece is produced entirely in Italy — no outsourcing, no offshore manufacturing. Each detail, from buttons to zippers to labels, is processed and polished individually by hand. The brand sources premium high-thread-count cotton, natural fabrics, and the finest down for its padded jackets, combining advanced textile technology with traditional artisanal techniques. In 2019, the Borletti Group acquired a 25% stake, while Faccincani retained his role as president and creative director. Today, MooRER stands as one of Italy’s most respected outerwear houses — never interested in trends or logos, only in timelessness, quality, and the quiet confidence of a perfectly made jacket.
