Kate Middleton recently wowed in Germany wearing a Jenny Packham fit-and-flare dress in a saturated shade of sunflower yellow. The color was new for the Duchess, which got royal watchers talking, but she’s totally on trend—the hue was spotted all over the resort collections, on runways for the unveiling of Fendi, Michael Kors and Stella McCartney collections, to name a few.

Yellow is coming to the streets in a big way this fall, but this bright shade is not for the faint of heart. You’ll need confidence to pull it off. If a yellow dress or monochrome outfit is out of your comfort zone, pair it with grey, pink, red or blue. The shade looks great with a lot of different colors.

If that’s still too much yellow for you, pick up a bright yellow bag, scarf or killer heels and let your statement accessory do the talking. A little bit of yellow can go a long way.
