Pitti Uomo: A First Look at What’s Next

Pitti Uomo: A First Look at What’s Next

There’s something about Florence in January that sharpens the senses. Perhaps it’s the contrast—historic stone streets paired with some of the most forward-thinking menswear in the world. Or maybe it’s the energy of Pitti Uomo itself, where tradition and modernity meet with effortless confidence.

This season, Johnell Garmany attended Pitti Uomo alongside Monica, Garmany’s digital marketing manager, spending several days immersed in the collections, conversations, and subtle shifts shaping menswear for the year ahead. Pitti is never about spectacle for spectacle’s sake. It’s about nuance. And this year, the nuance spoke clearly.

One of the most noticeable evolutions was color. Menswear is embracing a broader, more expressive palette without sacrificing sophistication. Rich, vibrant greens emerged as a standout, woven through tailoring, knitwear, and outerwear alike. These weren’t loud or trendy shades, but grounded, confident tones that feel equally at home in a city wardrobe or a refined weekend escape. Alongside green, deeper earth tones and softened neutrals rounded out collections that felt optimistic yet composed.

Silhouette was another defining theme. The shift toward looser, more relaxed fits continues, but with a distinctly Italian sensibility. Jackets draped with ease rather than structure, trousers moved with more fluidity, and layers were designed to breathe. The result is clothing that feels lived-in, intentional, and modern.  Pieces meant to accompany real life rather than dictate it.

Throughout the show, Johnell and Monica met with long-standing partners and discovered a few new lines that immediately felt aligned with Garmany’s philosophy: craftsmanship first, design with purpose, and longevity above all else. These collections weren’t chasing attention they earned it through fabric, construction, and quiet confidence. The kind of pieces that reveal themselves over time, rewarding the wearer season after season.

Beyond the garments themselves, Pitti remains a reminder of why in-person curation matters. Seeing how collections move, how fabrics respond to light, how designers envision their client these details don’t translate fully on a screen. They require presence. And that presence is what allows Garmany to bring back not just clothing, but a point of view.

Florence was only the beginning.

This week, the journey continues as Johnell and the team head north to Milan, stepping inside showrooms where many of the world’s most respected fashion houses quietly shape the future. More discoveries. More refinement. And a deeper look at what’s coming to Garmany in the seasons ahead.

Stay with us—Milan is where the story truly unfolds.
